Advocate Surendra Kumar Sharma filed a complaint in the top court against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia for defaming him after the ticket allocation to another candidate in Delhi assembly seats.

He said that the volunteers of the Aam Aadmi Party in 2013 had promised him the allocation of the party ticket for the Delhi assembly elections. He claimed that he submitted the application to the Manish Sisodia and Yogendra Yadav after they said that the party has agreed to grant him the ticket, however, later the party withdrew its ticket from him.

He alleged that various newspapers and articles quoted by the AAP leaders saying “defamatory, unlawful, and derogatory words” against him in October 2013. The advocate said that the articles in the newspaper degraded his reputation in the bar and in the society.
