Days after raising questions on Amit Shah, Janata Dal (United) Spokesperson of Bihar Unit Ajay Alok on Thursday announced to step down from the post stating that he is not fit for the post.

In a letter to written to JD-U Party’s State Unit, JD(U) Spokesperson Ajay Alok stated that he feels that he is not doing his job perfectly. ‘I have decided to step down from the party’s spokesperson as I think I am not doing the job perfectly. I thank the party for giving me the opportunity’. He urged the party to accept the resignation.

‘I have resigned as a Spokesperson from JDU as I think I am not doing a good job as my views which are mine of course do not match with my party, Thanks to my Party and my President who has always supported me and I don’t want to be a source of embarrassment for @NitishKumar‘, he tweeted on Thursday.

He had on June 11 took a swipe jibe at Home Minister Amit Shah. Alok said in a tweet and said, ‘The mere bashing of Mamata Banerjee will not work and the mechanism needs to be worked out, especially when Amit Shah Ji is our Home minister. Illegal immigration should be prohibited. If does not happen now when will it be?

Janata Dal (United) contested the national polls in an alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar. It has bagged 16 out of 17 contested Seat in Bihar that has a total of 40 Lok Sabha Seats. Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP was also an alliance partner of BJP and JD-U in Bihar that sends 40 Parliamentarians.

While it should be noted that BJP ally JD-U opted out of Cabinet race hinting that the party was willing to have more berth than it is been offered by the BJP.
