FIFA 20 is already facing tough competition from ‘eFootball PES 2020‘ this year. Konami launched its football title eFootball PES 2020 on September 10th. As for FIFA 20, the title has already launched on September 27th. However, FIFA 20 arrived on EA Access for early access and along with it, EA also launched the FIFA 20 Web App which is live now. But after all the efforts and hard work EA put into the title, it seems like fans aren’t happy with the Career Mode, leading to #FixCareerMode trending on Twitter. And now, EA has another big trouble to deal with as a FIFA 20 glitch exposes players’ personal details.

The year 2019 isn’t going well for FIFA 20. After losing exclusive rights for many big teams including the EURO 2020 to eFootball P2S 2020, now new bugs and glitches are making FIFA 20’s run even more difficult. Recently, around 1,600 FIFA 20 players were reported to have been affected by a data breach during sign-ups for the EA Sports FIFA 20 Global Series and hence, registrations have been closed until later notice.

The $3 million prize pooled FIFA 20 Global Series witnessed a data breach as players who were signing-up were able to access other players’ information who had already signed up on the registration page earlier. Details shown include players’ emails, console ID, location, and birth date.

It didn’t take long for players to share their frustration on social media including FIFA pro player Kurt “Kurt0411” Fenech.

“Before I get to the absolute farce of that competitive bullshit, when you click the link register for verification you get other people’s personal information,” Fenech wrote on Twitter.

EA took down the registration page quickly and further stated: “Player privacy and security are of the utmost importance to us, and we deeply apologize that our players encountered this issue today.”

We can expect the registration to open soon as EA is working on a fix.
