Earlier this year, Konami managed to include both ‘Football’ and ‘Soccer’ together by renaming its annual football feast of football ‘PES 2020’ to ‘eFootball PES 2020’. Konami just didn’t stop at this, they acquired exclusive team license of footballing giants such as   Manchester UnitedJuventus, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Arsenal along with Argentine powerhouse Club Atlético River Plate, further acquiring Euro 2020 license. And all of this to take on the rivals ‘FIFA 20’. However, it still remains to see if Konami’s efforts to crush EA’s legacy FIFA 20 continues or it is time for a new king. And the good news is, yesterday, ‘eFootball 2020’ finally rolled out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Let’s have a sneek peek into what the newly named ‘PES 2020’ has to offer:

Those of you who have already tried out the demo version of the game which was made available last month must have witnessed the decent gameplay improvements, a redesigned menu system that’s easier to browse and better visuals of players and stadiums that Konami has introduced. Now answering the real question, ‘eFootball PES 2020 Vs FIFA20′. To this, I would say Konami has surely done its homework pretty well and this year is gonna be real tough for FIFA 20. Konami has worked really hard for this year’s version of ‘Pro Evolution Soccer’ after the title almost seemed dead last year after losing the licensing rights for the UEFA Champions League.

Talking about the gameplay, there have been considerable improvements made from enhanced passing to shooting and one-touch controls, as the developers say that the physics of the ball is also taken into account. This further improves how a player shoots or passes the ball since player positioning plays a major role now. Obviously, to tackle such attacks, defenders have to be smarter, thus Konami has also improved tackling skills for defenders including new slide tackle animations, quicker reaction times and the option to commit intentional fouls.

Furthermore, Konami has tried to infuse reality into the game as it is now harder for defenders to take possession away from elites such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and more. However, as discussed earlier, defenders have become smarter too and if you have a renowned defender in your team like Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, defending becomes a little easy for you.

All in all the game seems to be perfect, portraying Konami’s hard work this year. It will be interesting to see how FIFA stands against the perfection of PES this year.
