Cyberpunk 2077 streaming system

https://youtu.be/YApuEWtG30wEver since CD Projekt Red announced its highly anticipated title Cyberpunk 2077, it has been a hot topic of discussion among gamers. But it was during the recent Gamescom 2019, that we got to see glimpses of the game. Recently, the game developers CD  Projekt Red confirmed in a tweet that their highly anticipated title Cyberpunk 2077 will have a multiplayer component. Then just a few days ago a tweet from the official page seemingly teased Cyberpunk 2077 Photo Mode. Just a few days back, we came to know that Cyberpunk 2077 has a wicked “Demon Software” ability following which  CD Projekt Red further announced that Cyberpunk 2077 won’t come to Nintendo Switch. And now, another revelation suggests that CD Projekt Red is using an overhauled streaming system for Cyberpunk-2077.

CD Projekt RED’s John Mamais said in an interview with AusGamers that since in Cyberpunk 2077 players are designed to move through the world a lot faster than they did in The Witcher 3 which uses horses to travel, therefore, new tech to stream and load in their open-world environments is necessary. Mamais further confirmed that CD Projekt RED is making use of completely overhauled streaming tech for their upcoming RPG.

“The streaming system had to be overhauled because, well, you’re moving a lot faster when you’re in a vehicle,” said the head of CD Projekt Red’s Krakow office. “So, we had to rework and rewrite how all that works. Also, there’s vertical streaming now. The Witcher is almost like a 2D game in comparison, its world was flat. [With Cyberpunk 2077] you’re going up and into huge buildings, so it is a case of vertical and horizontal streaming and hardware speeds impact that. We had to rewrite the tech to support all of that.”

CD Projekt Red has been actively engaging with the audience and has already given enough details about the game including its recently released a 14-minute video during the PAX West event. The company even announced that the game will be completely first-person including the cutscenes. Moreover, the developers even Male/Female options in character mode and further announced that the title will be featuring a smaller yet denser map than Witcher 3. Last month, the company announced that Multiplayer feature will also be included in the game. We also know now that  Keanu Revees isn’t a romance option in the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most highly-anticipated titles set to arrive next year and with all the hype around the title, it will be worth seeing how the title goes on to perform. Cyberpunk 2077 launches in April 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
