Washington DC, August 2: Washington planning to imposed an extra 10 per cent tariffs on the remaining Chinese goods worth USD 300 billion which will go effective from September 1, United States President Donald Trump has on Thursday announced.
According to ANI news reports, Trump has noted the new tariffs over the Chinese imports would be in addition to the previous 25 per cent tariff that has been already imposed on $250 billion of imports by the US.
In a tweet, the US president said, “Trade talks are continuing … …during the talks the U.S. will start, on September 1st, putting a small additional Tariff of 10% on the remaining 300 Billion Dollars of goods and products coming from China into our Country. This does not include the 250 Billion Dollars already Tariffed at 25%…”
He further stated he was looking forward to continuing the positive dialogues with Beijing over a comprehensive trade treaty and feel that “the future between our two nations will be a very bright one.”

He further added the recent agreement reached between two nations has not been yet implemented, saying, “Additionally, my friend President Xi said that he would stop the sale of Fentanyl to the US -this never happened, and many Americans continue to die!”
