Keeping the love that Microsoft got (for OneNote 2016) in mind, Microsoft announced something special for the users of OneNote 2016.

Microsoft, in their recent blog on the tech community, announced that they will extend the support for OneNote 2016. The OneNote 2016 had the license date till October 2020, but now OneNote 2016 has gotten the extension till October 10, 2023, and October 14, 2025, for the extended support (to the users who have paid for extended support). Microsoft announced that they are making the installation easy for their users. For all the windows users, when they will install the office 365 setup with office desktop app or office 2019 setup, the OneNote desktop app will be installed by default with other apps. which means the users will not have to install the OneNote app separately. The OneNote app can also be downloaded separately from the official website of Microsoft.

Apart from this news, Microsoft added a new feature on the OneNote that is gonna excite you for sure. The OneNote app getting the dark mode. Microsoft will roll out the dark mode feature this week for its users. This will be available for Office 365 subscribers and non-volume licensing Office 2019 customers. This new feature will change the interface of OneNote. After the update, the interface can be changed from light to dark. It means that the users will now get the best of OneNote even in the low light environment. The dark mode will make the work easier as it will provide a better contrast to the user that will eventually reduce the eyes strain. The dark mode can also be used as default for the app.
