Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan staged a protest on Monday to demonstrate against the state government in Nasrullahganj. The protest was organized to raise the issue of rising fuel prices.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan called the demonstration as ‘public court‘ where he interacted with people and inquired about their problems. This public court was set up in Budhni constituency. Speaking on about his move, the leader, as quoted by ANI, said, “If we wanted, thousands would have entered this tehsil and vandalized the place but we are employing Gandhi’s principles to put pressure on the government.”

Shivraj Singh Chouhan attacked the Kamal Nath government for the costliest price of petrol and diesel in the state. He attacked the Congress government of ignoring the plights of people. The BJP leader also joined the farmers to protest against the hike in electricity bills.

In a series of tweets, Shivraj attacked the Congress government left and right.

While addressing the public court, He demanded the Kamal Nath government to waive off farmer’s loans up to Rs. 2 lakh by October 15. He otherwise threatened to launch an agitation.

BJP Youth wing in the state also held a protest on Sunday against the state government over the rising fuel price issue. The members of the organization paraded with their two-wheelers spotting a garland.
