The Directorate General of Civil Aviation started investigation in the snag that occurred in the engine of the flight of Rahul Gandhi while he was off for his election rallies in Odisha, Bihar, and Maharashtra.

His plane was forced to return to Delhi because of the engine trouble. Rahul Gandhi was on the flight to first attend the rally in Patna district of Bihar. Congress president Rahul Gandhi posted a tweet early morning saying that his election rallies in the states will be delayed because of the inconvenience in the flight.

In his tweet, Rahul Gandhi mentioned, “Engine trouble on our flight to Patna today! We have been forced to return to Delhi. Today’s meeting in the respected Samasitpur (Bihar), Balasore (Orissa), and Sangamner (Maharashtra) will be delayed. Apologies for the inconvenience.”

This is not the first incident when a plane carrying Rahul Gandhi has developed a snag. An incident similar to this took place a year ago when Rahul Gandhi’s chartered flight developed a technical snag when he was traveling from Delhi to Karnataka. Rahul Gandhi was on his route to hold an election rally in Karnataka at that time. There were several “unexplained” technical errors that led to the delay of the flight.

The Aviation regulator DGCA has initiated a probe into the incident. According to the operator report, it was a snag in the autopilot mode and the pilot shifted to the manual mode landing the aircraft safely. DCGA has set up a two-member committee to investigate into the cause of the event.

Recently, Rahul Gandhi conducted a rally in Ajmer, Rajasthan where he announced his minimum income scheme and appealed to the voters to vote for the Congress government in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
