The income tax directorate had yesterday raided a sum worth Rs. 280 crore as unaccountable cash in its raids in Madhya Pradesh. The money was found in the offices of the close associates of Kamal Nath, 20 crore among which was shifted as hawala money to the office of a mainstream political party in Delhi. The directorate, since then, was raiding the offices of the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath and his associates. Taking a jibe at this Prime Minister Narendra Modi confronted the poll rally as to who is the real ‘chor’ now.

The slogan ‘chowkidar chor hai’ was actually brought about by Rahul Gandhi which Modi confronted with another, i.e., ‘Main bhi chowkidar’.  Modi said that within days after the new government was formed in Madhya Pradesh money flows have become popular.
