Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and informed them about the law and order situation of the state. ‘Called on Hon’ble Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji today & apprised him about the law and order situation of Manipur’, tweeted Manipur Governor.

Najma Heptulla visited PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah comes days after Local Administration had on Saturday imposed Section 144 CrPC in and around Yathi Loukan region of the state.
Section 144 was imposed in the region to deal with any adverse law and order situation in the wake of protest erupting in the region against the development of Food Park.
Many Peoples in the region is opposing the establishment of any government scheme other than the construction of the National Sports University. Protesting citizens claimed that
the land was acquired for the construction of the university, however, is now being
allegedly shifted to some other place.
Najma Heptulla served as the Union Minister of Minority Affairs for some time in Narendra Modi’s previous government.
While earlier in the day, Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala on Tuesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital. The Prime Minister’s Office tweeted a picture of the meeting.
Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brigadier BD Mishra (retd) also called on the PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday.
