Ending month long speculations over possible alliance with AAP, Congress on Monday released list candidates on 6 seats out of 7 seats in the national capital for Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The party with the list of candidates has also cleared that it will not go with any alliance with AAP in the national capital.
The Congress list for the national capital came hours after BJP named its Candidates for 4 parliamentary seats. The list released by the grand old party named:
- JP Aggarwal from Chandi Chowk
- Sheila Dixit from North East Delhi
- Arvinder Singh Lovely from East Delhi
- Ajay Maken from New Delhi
- Rajesh Lilothia from North West Delhi-SC
- Mahabal Mishra from West Delhi

In Chandni Chowk, JP Aggarwal will take on BJP’s Dr. Harshvardhan and AAP General Secretary Pankaj Gupta. While DPCC Chief Sheila Dixit will take on BJP Delhi Chief Manoj Tiwari and AAP’s Dilip Pandey.
Arvind Singh Lovely has been named by the party for East Delhi Seat against AAP’s Atishi. While BJP yet to make an announcement for the seat. Ajay Maken who has been named by the party for New Delhi parliamentary seat will take on AAP’s Brijesh Goyal.

The party has named Rajesh Lilothia from North West Delhi while Mahabal Mishra from West Delhi. The Congress, however, has not declared its candidate from South Delhi seat where BJP has pitched sitting MP Ramesh Bidhuri and AAP’s Raghav Chadha.
With this list, the party has named its candidates on 417 Parliamentary Seats.
Congress announced its nominees for Delhi days after a fresh round of deliberation between AAP and Congress stuck off with Congress not in favour to extend the Alliance outside Delhi. While AAP wants alliance in Haryana and Chandigarh too.
Lok Sabha Polls 2019 has already begun and over 180 Lok Sabha Seat has already voted in initial two phases. General Elections 2019 would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. All seven seats of the national capital will go to poll on May 12.
Counting of Votes and Results for the mega Battle of ballots will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting. In 2014 General Elections, banking of heavy Modi wave, BJP won all 7 seats in the national capital.
