Ahead of the forthcoming Jharkhand assembly elections, Bhartiya Janta Party has released its manifesto on Wednesday. Releasing the manifesto, Chief Minister Raghubar Das was present along with Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister Arjun Munda, BJP state-election in-charge Om Mathur, and BJP State President Laxman Giluva.

In the manifesto, BJP came out with a power-packed educational development program for the students of the state. The saffron party announced to provide compulsory skill education to all students from Class VI. Another reformative scheme to boost higher literacy in the state was announced.

A scholarship amount of Rs. 2,200 and Rs. 7,500 will also be given to students belonging to economically weaker sections under the Pre Matric and Post Matric Scholarship Scheme. The saffron party also announced to set up a special fund of Rs.1000 crore for modernizing the government schools and colleges.

  • 70 new Eklavya schools will be built by 2022 in the state.
  • Schools will be set up for the recruitment to various services for free training of tribal youth population.
  • One person from every BPL family will be provided employment/self-employment opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, the leader also said that the party has tried its best to keep on its promises and put farmers on its agenda list. As quoted by ANI, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said, “We have tried to fulfill all the promises we made in 2014. We have strengthened the vigilance department and opened various anti-corruption units in the state to check corruption.

Jharkhand will go to the polls for 81 assembly seats and it will be conducted in five phases. The tenure for the current Jharkhand assembly will end on January 5.

  • Phase-1: Polls on 30 November
  • Phase 2: Polls on 7 December
  • Phase 3: Polls on 12 December
  • Phase 4: Polls on 16 December
  • Phase 5: Polls on 20 December
