BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi moved the Supreme Court on Rahul Gandhi’s remarks over PM regarding Rafale deal.
BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi on Friday moved the SC against Rahul Gandhi seeking intervention into his remarks against the Prime Minister. Rahul Gandhi had earlier said that the Supreme Court had found the PM guilty in the Rafale jet deal.
The plea of the senior BJP leader, Meenakshi Lekhi, is to be heard on the 15th of April. The Supreme Court had looked into the matter of the hearing of three documents by petitioners over the Rafale deal. In its judgement the Supreme Court sought of a review of its December 14, 2018 verdict over the Rafale jet case thereby dismissing the appeal of the Centre rejecting the hearing of petitions.
Commenting on this Rahul Gandhi had said,” Bahut Khushi ho rahi hai ki jo main mahino se keh raha hun ki Hindustan ke Pradhan Mantri ne Air Force ka paisa chori karke Anil Ambani ji ko diya hai, us baat ko aaj SC ne maan liya hai.” This translates to, “I am really happy that the Supreme Court has accepted the fact that the Prime Minister of India had looted the money of the IAF and given to Mr. Anil Ambani. I had been saying this since months.”
