Newly appointed Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan on Tuesday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for appointing him as the new Governor of Andhra Pradesh. He also thanked both PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for giving him the opportunity to serve the people.

Talking to media, BB Harichandan said that he will try to solve crucial issues with Odisha. Responding to a question about various border issues of both the states, the newly appointed Governor said that he has a very limited role to play in. However, he added that he will be happy to if he could not anything to resolve a standoff between the two states.

‘There are many serious issues related including some border issues of both the states – Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. But as you know all Governor has a very little role. As a Governor, I will be happy if I will be able to discuss some issues with Odisha and able to bring out some solutions to it’.

Talking about his last meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BB Harichandan said, I am very thankful to PM Modi, Last time, I met him on June 30 and presented him by Biography which I have written. He asked me many questions about politics and I got an indication on that day’.

‘I also want to thank Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Later I also met Amit Shah next day’, he added while thanking the people of Odisha.

BB Harichandan, an 84-Year-Old Politician, is a Jan Sangh Leader and was BJP State President in Odisha. He has also served as a Law Minister in the state.

BB Harichandan will be replacing Andhra Pradesh outgoing Governor ESL Narasimhan. Narasimhan has been the governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and is being in the office for last one decade now.
