After releasing the first list of Candidates for Chattisgarh, Union Minister J P Nadda further announced the candidates list for Telangana and Mizoram as well. The CEC meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP Chief Amit Shah zeroed in on the names of the candidates and also announced that they will be contesting on 13 seats from Mizoram. Unlike last election in the state, the BJP has decided to contest the Mizoram Polls alone this time.

After announcing 38 names for Telangan Polls, Union Minister JP Nadda told reporters, “The party has considered the aspirations of our dedicated workers in Telangana region. Adequate representation has been given to the representatives of all communities”.

The party has consciously decided to give tickets to those who have a good chance of winning.

No sitting MLAs have been denied the ticket. G Kishan Reddy was re-nominated from Amberpet while NVSS Prabhakar is the party’s candidate again from Uppal. Chintala Ramachandra Reddy managed to secure his nomination for Khairatabad again as well while Telangana BJP President Dr K Laxman will be contesting from Musheerabad constituency.

BJP MLC N Ramachander Rao was given a ticket for the Malkajgiri Assembly constituency. Actor-politician Babu Mohan, who had recently jumped to the party after being denied a TRS ticket, was given a nomination from Andole, a seat reserved for the SC community.
