Minutes after taking oath as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday announced ₹3000 as pension to senior citizens in the state. Speaking from the state where he took oath, Reddy said made a major announcement for senior citizens of the state and promised corruption free government.

Reddy while addressing the workers and supporters from dais said, every senior citizen of the state will get a ₹3000 pension. It will be start from ₹2,250 and will be increased to 3000 Rs by next 3 years.

Asserting that his government will not tolerate corruption, Reddy said, a Call Centre will be setup at Chief Ministers’s Office to deal with Corruption Charges. He added that everyone will have an access to CMO.

Further revealing his plans about the state, Andhra Pradesh new Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to create over 1.5 Lakh jobs by the next year. From Pension to Fee reimbursement, now people can get all of them sanctioned within 72 hours from the Gram Secretariat.

He also said that he will request the Andhra High Court to setup a judicial comission to monitor tenders and contracts.

He also thanked voters for the massive mandate and said that he during his 3,600 Kilometre Padyatra have seen the conditions of Poors. ‘I will be with you all’ he said amid huge cheering from the crowd.

He further said by August 15 next year, over 4 lakh people will have a job of a village volunteers with a salary of Rs. 5,000.

DMK President MK Stalin and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekher Rao were also present in the swearing-in ceremony of the YSR Congress President. Reddy wished DMK Leader that he would become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

While his Telangana counterpart K Chandrashekhar Rao lauded Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said, ‘He is a young leader, he has a big responsibility, only with mutual understanding between the two Telugu states the people can be developed. Jagan should continue as the chief minister for 3-4 terms’.

Jagan Mohan Reddy, former MP from Kadapa Lok Sabha Seat, is a son of Former Congress Leader and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajashekhar Reddy. Jagan after the death of his father floated his own political party – YRSCP – and contested 2014 State polls unsuccessfully.

Andhra Pradesh State Polls and national elections in the state held simultaneously on April 11.

Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP in recently held polls registered a landslide victory in both assembly and national polls in the state. YRSCP won 151 assembly seats out of the 175 assembly seat in the state and unseat Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP Government.

While in national polls, YSRCP bag 22 Lok Sabha Seats out of 25 seats in the state.
