Addressing a rally in Kolkata,West Bengal, Amit Shah hit out at Mamata Banerjee accusing the TMC supremo of questioning the Balakot air strikes followed after the Pulwama attack to “appease” her minority vote bank in the state and wryly said that Mamata Banerjee can love Pakistan but if there are any bullets fired at our country, We will respond with cannon balls.

Amit Shah denied any possibility of the tie-up with TMC in the post-poll scenario for the Lok Sabha election when questioned about the alliance by the media personnel.

In his speech on Monday, Amit Shah described infiltration in the country as a major problem for the nation and not just West Bengal. Shah claimed that after BJP government comes to power, they will implement National Registration of Citizenship (NRC) in entire India.

Shah said that his party (BJP) will scrap Article 370 of the Constitution which grants special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

He accused the TMC government of not supporting the bill. Shah said that “we are expecting a different statistic in the upper house in 2020 and we are hopeful that the NRC bill will be passed.” He claimed that after the NRC is passed, Citizenship bill would be brought so that all refugees can get citizenship. He said the NRC will filter all the infiltrators from the country.

Amit Shah also expressed his confidence in the victory of BJP in West Bengal. He said that even when communist used to indulge in violence, she (Mamata Banerjee) came to power.

Alleging the government under Mamata Banerjee, Shah said that Bengal is under the Mafia Raj. Cow Smuggling is dominating in the state. He appealed people to vote for BJP to make it a “Sonar Bangla”
