In an alleged money laundering case involving a London based property worth 1.9 million pound, against Robert Vadra the ED summoned Robert, husband to Priyanka Gandhi on Tuesday.

The property in London was allegedly bought by Mr Bhandari and he further sold it after bearing excessive charges of  renovation , at the same price.

“He (Vadra) has been asked to appear before the agency on Tuesday at 10.30 am,” a senior ED official said on Monday.

Previously, a Delhi Court extended Vadra’s interim bill till March 2nd.

On 2nd February, the court granted Vadra interim bail till 16th February.

On December 7, the ED conducted searches on various properties in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru as a part of the investigation.

Also, previously the directorate questioned Vadra for over 24 hours in a period of 3 different days, in connection with the case.

He was also questioned by ED in Jaipur in connection to the Bikaner Land deal case.

Robert Vadra, however skipped his appearance before the ED on Tuesday , by citing ‘health reasons’. His lawyer spoke about it.

Previously, he was seen, being accompanied by Priyanka Gandhi, recently appointed General Secretary of Congress for Eastern UP.

However, Vadra has denied all the allegations and said that it is a political witch hunt against him. He was harassed to attain ‘political’ motives, he said.
