Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his Deputy Sachin Pilot will meet Congress National President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday to discuss the talks related to Cabinet Expansion of Rajasthan on Saturday.

Earlier, the three were slated to meet on Friday but after Gandhi’s busy schedule meeting could not happen.

According to the sources who were familiar with the Development Rajasthan Cabinet will have 20 Ministers that will include 10 loyalists of Sachin Pilot. Pilot himself is looking for Portfolios like Excise, Minning and Home Affairs, said a source.

Around 20 Ministers are expected to Sworn as Ministers on Monday after getting a nod from Congress President Rahul Gandhi.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Sachin Pilot said both he along with CM Gehlot are in Delhi for the meeting with Gandhi on Saturday.

“The Chief Minister and I, both of us are in Delhi today. All the required people are in Delhi and we will discuss about the cabinet expansion. Soon we will be able to expand our cabinet. Our government has already started the work in the state for development. But after the council minister expansion, we’ll fast track our work as per our manifesto for development. Whatever will be in favor of the state and the people, and those who should get an opportunity to work will be given a chance by the party,” Pilot said.

Congress in recently Concluded Rajasthan Polls unseated BJP’s Vasundhara Raje in and registered a comeback by winning 99 seats out of 199 in the 2018 Assembly elections. The final tally saw BJP finishing second with 73 seats, CPI-M 2, BSP 6, Independents 13 and others 6.

Short of a majority by a seat, Congress has received support from RLD who have secured one seat in the state. On Wednesday, BSP supremo Mayawati also extended its support to Congress in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Samajwadi Party also said to support Congress in Madhya Pradesh.

Later after days of Deliberations Congress appointed Ashok Gehlot as the Chief Minister while Sachin Pilot his Deputy.
