After complimenting each other, PM Modi and President Xi Jinping shook hands and discussed ‘range of issues’ during the informal meeting of BRICS on the sidelines of G-20 Summit. They discussed the stalemate between the two armies of the countries in Dokalam.

This meeting was of a special significance as earlier China denied for the same by saying that the atmosphere is not right for holding any informal meetings which include bilateral talks. China and India are engaged in a stand-off in Dokalam as a Chinese construction party tried building a road Doka la which is an Indian region in Bhutan. But China claims it to be a part of their Donlang region.

As both the Premiers faced each other during G-20 summit, they happened to attend this informal meeting which was organized by the leaders of BRICS on the sidelines of G-20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany. Both the Premiers last met at the Kazakhstan’s capital for the SCO summit, a few months back.

Hopefully, this meeting would have a positive result and none of the nations would engage in any kind of war.
