Two days after Cabinet formation in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday allocated portfolios to all minister that sworn-in as Minister in the Chhattisgarh Congress Government. The cabinet was selected by keeping in mind the region-wise and community representation. Out of the 9 ministers, Shiv Kumar Daharia and Rudra Guru belong to the Scheduled Caste community. Kawasi Lakhma and Premsai Singh Tekam belong to the tribal community.

Reportedly, major deadlock in the state was on Finance Portfolio. Chief Minister Bhupesh has kept 5 key portfolios with him.

CM Bupesh Baghel has kept the General Administration Department, Finance, Energy, Mining, Information Broadcasting and Communication with him.

While another frontrunner for the Top Post in the state, TS Singh Deo has been allocated with Rural Development and Panchayat, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education, Economic Planning and Statics 20 List, GST Department.

Tamradhwaj Sahu has been allocated to look after – Home Ministry, PWD, Water, Tourism and Cultural Department.

Ravindra Chaubey has been given the maximum 8 Portfolios. He will look after Parliamentary Work, Law and Legislative work, Agriculture and Biotechnology, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, and Water Department and Ammunition Department.

Lawmaker and Minister Mohd Akbar has been allocated Transport Department, Housing and Environment, Forest Department, Food and Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department.

Umesh Patel will look after Higher and Technical Department, Skill Development and Mass Power Planning, Science and Technology, Sports and Youth Department.

Jai Singh Aggarwal has been assigned to look after Revenue and Disaster Management Rehabilitation, Registration and Stamp.

Anila Bhediya has been given the Department of Women and Child Development along with the Social Welfare Department.

Shiv Dahariya will look affairs of Labour Department and Urban Administration Department.

Minister Rudra Guru has been allocated PHE and Village Industries Department.

Premsai Singh has been given a responsibility to look after School education, SC ST OBC and Minority Welfare, and Co-operation Department.

Kawasi Lakhma will look after Excise and Industry Department.
