Facebook is doing everything to rule the gaming industry. First, it bought VR gaming company Beat Studio, the studio behind popular game Beat Venture. Then recently, Facebook announced another acquisition. The tech giant has now acquired PlayGiga. It is a Madrid based cloud gaming company that is known for working with companies like WB, SEGA, Disney. Facebook bought the company at $78 million.
“We are excited to announce that the PlayGiga team is moving on to something new,” the company says on the main page of its website. “We are continuing our work in cloud gaming, now with a new mission. We want to thank all of our partners and customers for their support over the years.”
Facebook too announced the acquisition from the twitter account of Facebook Gaming:
