The Reliance Jiophone 2 will be going to sale on August 15. The phone in the affordable price range will face competition from Nokia 1 which had already been launched back in March this year. The company is set to release the Reliance Jiophone 2, after the blockbuster success of the Reliance Jiophone 1.

Hardware Processor and Software
Nokia 1 is powered by 1.1GHz quad-core processor and is coupled with 1GB of RAM. The phone also has 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB through a microSD card. The processor powering Jio Phone 2 is unknown for now. The Jio Phone 2 has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which is expandable to 128GB via microSD card. Jio Phone 2 runs KaiOS, while the Nokia 1 runs Android 8.1.
Camera Battery and Other
The Jio Phone 2 has a 2MP image camera at the back and on the front a VGA front camera. The Nokia 1 has a much better camera in 5-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel front camera for selfies. Jio Phone 2 drinks power from a 2000mAh battery while the Nokia 1 is backed by a slightly bigger 2150mAh removable battery.
The Jio Phone 2 has options including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G with VoLTE support, Bluetooth with an added NFC option. Nokia 1 has similar options in Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, and 4G. Both the handsets come with a dual SIM support.
Design and Display
The Jiophone 2 changes its design from its predecessor and sports a QWERTY BlackBerry-like design and a 2.40-inch screen with 240×320 pixels resolution. The Nokia 1 comes with much larger and better 4.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 pixels by 854 pixels.
Pricing and Availability
The Jiophone 2 smartphone is priced at Rs. 2,999 and will be up for sale starting August 15, 2018. It will be available in Black colour option only. Reliance Jio has a cashback offer on the purchase of the device along with 60GB data. The Nokia 1 price starts at Rs. 4,350 and is available in dark blue and red colours.
Conclusion
The Jiophone 2 and The Nokia 1 both are good phones in their price ranges. If you are looking for a phone in the range of Rs 5000, the Nokia 1 is a viable option. However, if you are looking for a cheaper phone to exploit data plans, the Jiophone 2 is a better option.
