If you thought that ‘Tenet’ will be the only film getting delayed, then you were wrong. The coronavirus is not sparing other big films too. News has now come that several top Hollywood films are being postponed. In this list of films are Mulan, Top Gun : Maverick, A Quiet Place 2, Spiderman 3 and Avatar sequel.
So, you’ll have to wait for some more time to catch these films. Disney, who were waiting for the August 21 release of their highly anticipated film, Mulan has postponed the film indefinitely. Already, the film have been postponed multiple times earlier too. It joins Christopher Nolan’s ‘Tenet’ in the list of films who don’t have a new release date now.
Further, the company has also revealed that the Star Wars Films and Avatar sequels are also delayed now. Avatar’s sequel will release in December 2022 now. While, Star Wars films will start releasing from December 2023 onwards. After that, every Star Wars film will premiere each year.
Even the official Twitter account of the Avatar films posted message from director, James Cameron regarding the delay. They posted :

Tom Hollan’s Spiderman also had to suffer a setback, as now the film will release a month later from its original schedule. It’ll arrive in December 2021.
Big names such as Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are in the fray too. Their film, ‘The Last Duel’ was scheduled for this December 2020, now it’ll come out on October 2021. Oscar winner, Guillermo Del Toro’s Antlers is pushed back to February 2021 while Marvel’s Black Widow is set for a November 2020 release.
The biggest changes come from Paramount, since they have two films with superstars in each. Emily Blunt’s ‘A Quiet Place 2’ will now release on April 23, 2021. It was to arrive this September. On the other hand, Tom Cruise will now come on July 2, 2021 with his big ticket film ‘Top Gun : Maverick’.
This is all for now though with big ticket films pushed, all the hopes now rest on a vaccine.
