The first shooting schedule of the upcoming film Helmet is completed in Varanasi. The film, which went on the floors earlier this month, wrapped up the first schedule yesterday on 27 December. The team will begin the second schedule in Mumbai in January.
Dino Morea, who is co-producing the film with Sony Pictures Networks Productions, took to his social media account to share the information. Sharing a photo that features him and other members of the team, Dino wrote, “Have been blessed with this awesome team. These actors are just brilliant. Watch out for my director.” He also thanked Sony Pictures Networks Productions “for backing this big big story”.

A promo of the film, which was released earlier this month, suggested it is a sex comedy. The video did not feature any actor but a voice over by Aparshakti Khurana could be heard asking for a condom without taking its name.

Helmet stars Ayushmann Khurrana’s brother Aparshakti Khurana and Pranutan Bahl as the male and female lead respectively. The film marks Khurana’s first lead role. He has previously received appreciation for his supporting roles in films like Stree, Luka Chuppi, Pati Patni Aur Woh, and others. Granddaughter of veteran actor Nutan and daughter of actor Mohnish Bahl, Pranutan Bahl made her debut in Nitin Kakkar directorial Notebook earlier this year.
Directed by Satram Ramani, the film also features Khurana’s Stree co-star Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Verma in pivotal roles. It is scheduled to be released in 2020.
