Dwayne Johnson has another member, joining him in his upcoming DC superhero film ‘Black Adam’. Noah Centineo is the actor, joining Johnson as part of the film. He is going to play Atom Smasher aka Albert Rothstein.
This piece of news was first reported by ‘Variety’, who further revealed about Noah’s character. Atom Smasher can control molecular strength, manipulate– size, strength and durability.
Earlier, this year Dwayne started his preparation for the film. Jaume Collet-Serra is helming the project, which is a spin-off of last year’s ‘Shazam’. Adam Sztykiel has written the latest draft of the script.
Black Adam was first introduced in the world of DC, in 1940s as a villain corrupted by power. In the 2000s the character, became an anti -hero.
Noah Centineo, who is going to play Atom Smasher, is known for his roles in rom-coms. He became a known figure with Netflix’s 2017 rom-com ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’. A sequel to the film, ‘To All the Boys: PS. I Still Love You was released this year. A third film in the series is currently under post-production.
Having never before played a superhero, it’ll be interesting to see how Centineo approaches and plays the character. DC has indeed made a bold selection for the role.
