Actor, Dilip Kumar faced a deep and personal loss today. His brother, Aslam Khan has passed away at the age of 88. He died due to complications from COVID-19. On late Saturday, he was admitted to Lilavati hospital.
The hospital shared this via a statement. It read :
“Aslam Khan, younger brother of Dilip Kumar, passed away early morning in Lilavati hospital under Dr. Jalil Parkar due to covid19 with diabetes, hypertension and ischaemic heart disease.”
On the other hand, Dilip’s other brother, Ehsaan Khan (90) too was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was admitted to the hospital.
Spokesperson of Dilip Kumar, Faisal Farooqui confirmed the news of his brother’s demise on Twitter. He posted the following tweet :
.@TheDilipKumar Dilip Saab’s youngest brother, Aslam Khan, passed away this morning at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai.
We are from God and to Him we return.

Indeed a terrible loss for the veteran actor, who is living in isolation with his wife, Saira Banu. In April he confirmed this on Twitter.
We hope that his brother’s soul finds peace and Dilip Sahab copes with this irreparable loss strongly.
