Bollywood has received another shocking news. Days after his manager, Disha Sailan died by suicide actor, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead yesterday. Sushant committed suicide at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai.

As per the police, no suicide note was found and he committed suicide between 10 am and 1 pm.

Talking to the media, a police officer informed :

“His cook told us that after waking up around 10 am, he drank a glass of juice before going back to his bedroom. When one of the cooks went to ask what he would like to eat, he found the door locked. When he did not open the door for a long time, which was unusual, the four tried calling him. But he did not respond. After two hours, they reached out to his sister in Goregaon.”

Even Sushant’s sister was unable to reach the actor and after reaching his house and breaking open his door, she found him hanging.

The actor’s death has sent shockwaves in the entire country, with industry colleagues, directors, fans pouring their condolences and tribute on social media. Even Prime Minister, Narendra Modi took to Twitter to pay his respects. He tweeted :

“A bright young actor gone too soon… His rise in the world of entertainment inspired many and he leaves behind several memorable performances.”

Sushant’s body was taken to Cooper Hospital, Vile Parle, where the actor was declared dead at 4 PM. Further, the BMC handed over the body to the Mumbai police who’ll be completing his autopsy.

Born in 1986 Patna, the actor was close to his mother who passed away in 2002 after suffering from Brain Haemorrhage. Sushant pursued his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering at Delhi Technological University.

He had worked in films such as Kai Po Che, Ms Dhoni the untold story, Shudh Desi Romance, Chhichhore and Kedarnath. He first started his acting career through tv serials, gaining popularity with Zee Tv’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’.

Besides acting, Sushant excelled in academics too. He was a National Olympiad winner in Physics.

Barry John in whose acting school, Sushant enrolled early on in his career, after his demise in an interview said:

“He was a student at our acting school but for a brief time. He did a part-time three-month course with us. I remember him as a bright, lively and handsome man with a lot of potential.”

Before his death, Sushant had completed the shoot of his last film, Dil Bechara a remake of the film ‘The Fault In Our Stars’. The film will be his last on-screen appearance. Last year he had appeared in two critically acclaimed films, Sonchiriya and Chhichhore.

Sushant was 34 years old and according to sources was suffering with Depression since the last 6 months. He leaves behind him a short but sparkling list of films.
