The Union Government has released the final schedule of the NET (National Eligibility Test) exam which will be held from December 9 to 23, 2018. The exam will be conducted twice a year -July and the second in December by the newly constituted National Test Agency (NTA).

Application for the online registration starts from September 1st and goes on till 30th September. The admit card will be available to download from November 19.
UGC NET December 2018: New Exam Pattern

There are few key changes in the examination pattern starting from December 2018 attempt. The National Test Agency (NTA) will be conducting its first UGC NET exams across the country. Earlier, the exam consisted of 3 papers and now it’s shifted to 2 papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Paper 1 will contain 50 objective type questions (compulsory) of 100 marks. Each question carries 2 marks and questions will be based on teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. The duration will be for one hour that is 9:30 am to 10.30 am.

Paper 2 will contain 100 objective type questions (compulsory) of 100 marks. Each question carries 2 marks and questions will be based on the subject opted by the candidate. The duration will be for two hour that is from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Till now, the CBSE has been conducting the UGC NET examination. The July 8th was the last exam conducted by the CBSE.
