MIUI has been among the popular custom user interface based on Android OS for many years. The custom UI from Xiaomi is currently in its 10th installment now–MIUI 10, and comes with various useful features that make the skin advantageous over the vanilla Android experience.
There are a plethora of features, on the other hand, that MIUI fans want the company to implement with the next version of the UI. Now, it looks like the company has taken the requests from users into account and is looking forward to implementing new features to the MIUI.
In a forum post, Xiaomi has summarized a list of features and feedback received from the users. The forum post reveals the features that the company is planning to implement in the next build of MIUI skin. The list compromises of features that the company has decided to adopt with the next version of the UI, a list of features that are planned to get adopted, and a list of features that the company is yet to decide upon.
Here’s a list of some of the features that Xiaomi has decided to adopt:
- Option to show lock screen while using face unlock instead of directly unlocking the device and going to the home screen
- New sound effects
- Enhanced Dolby sound effects
- Face unlock and fingerprint scanner to work simultaneously
- Optimized power saving mode
- Screen wake-up using voice commands
- Optimized clean-up all with one-click command
- Support for album privacy for videos
- Global night mode
- Vertical text support for photo editing
- App Store user interface redesign
- Show charging status and power level on the information screen
Here’s a list of some of the features that the company plans to adopt in future builds:
- Automatically delete the installation package after installing the app
- Reduce false touch
- Local recycle bin for photo albums
- Picture crop support for 18:9 display
- Optimized App permission management
- Better voice-activated shutter function
