Samsung Invite

Samsung is gearing up to launch a new device in its revamped Galaxy-A series in 2019. The company has started sending out invites for an event on April 10. The event will be streamed live and Samsung will host press events at  Bangkok, Milan, and Sao Paulo. Samsung has not yet revealed the names of the devices that will be introduced at the event, however, the company has made it clear that it will be launching more than Galaxy-A smartphone. As far as the leaks are concerned, Samsung is expected to introduce Galaxy A90 along with the Galaxy A60, Galaxy A40, and the Samsung Galaxy A70 smartphone. So far, the company has launched the Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30, and Galaxy A50.

The official invite from Samsung states that the company will “unveil its latest Galaxy A devices” at the event on April 10, which confirms the launch of more than one Samsung Galaxy-A smartphone. As for the smartphones that could be unveiled, Samsung Galaxy A90 and Galaxy A70 are expected to debut at the event since they have been spotted on Samsung’s official website recently. Nevertheless, the three tiles on the invite indicate that Samsung might launch three Galaxy-A smartphones next month.

The Galaxy A90 was recently spotted on the official US website alongside some Asphalt 9 content that will be available to the buyers. It is rumored to feature a sliding and rotating camera. However, concept renders have shown the device sporting a pop-up selfie camera and new Infinity display without a notch or a hole-punch. It is also tipped to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy A90 will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, while on the software front, the device will feature One UI based on Android 9.0 Pie.

As for the Galaxy A40, the support page for the device went live on the company’s German website as well as the Samsung UK website earlier this month. Furthermore, the Galaxy A40 has already received its FCC certification, which means the launch of the device is imminent. The Galaxy A40 is rumored to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor as well as a ToF 3D sensor, and will reportedly be powered by the in-house Exynos 7885 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM.

The Galaxy A60, on the other hand, has received its Bluetooth certificate and is expected to be revealed at the event.  The Galaxy A60 is tipped to come with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Infinity-U Display and will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 6150 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Galaxy A70 and the Galaxy A20e are two other devices in Galaxy-A series that have appeared in leaks recently and might be launched at Samsung’s event on April 10.
