Toyota Bharat has launched a special edition of Fortuner called Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition. The SUV is said to be a tactic to boost the sales of 4X2 variants, with bookings starting at Rs.50,000.
As per the pictures, the SUV will be loaded with several additional accessories and therefore, the price is not announced yet. The price of the Fortuner Leader Edition is based upon the accessories opted for and that’s why the carmaker has refrained from making any announcement.

The new special edition SUV majorly features cosmetic changes on the outside and inside, and sadly, that’s it. Starting with the colour palette, it will now be dual-tone, and to be precise, it includes shades such as Silver Metallic with Black, Super White with Black and Platinum Pearl White with Black. Another major change on the outside is the introduction of Black alloy wheels and bumper spoilers that come as a standard fitment.
Although the interior images are not out yet, expect the new Fortuner Leader Edition to come loaded with a tyre pressure monitoring system, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, wireless charger and similar features to name a few. The cabin is also expected to get a dual-tone treatment to match the outside.
Under the hood, it will come powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine known for producing 204 horsepower and 420Nm of peak torque while being paired to a manual gearbox. Then, Toyota also offers it with an automatic gearbox that propels 500Nm, making it an exciting setup.
Currently, the Leader Edition is only available in the 4X2 configuration.
