Porsche’s practical sedan, the 2024 Panamera is now available for sale in India with a price tag starting at Rs.1.69 Crore (ex-showroom, India). The carmaker recently announced its launch with the same V6 engine and some enhancements inside-out.

The New Porsche Panamera: Here’s Everything You Need To Know

Starting with the design, the all-new Porsche Panamera features the evergreen old design. However, minor changes here and there give this new sedan a completely refreshed look. For instance, the grille and alloy wheels are new now and provide the Panamera with a modern look. Then, there are other changes, such as a light package, to enhance the overall aerodynamic efficiency and reduce some weight.

The cabin of the 2024 Panamera also reminds one of the outgoing model but there are some changes to give it a modern touch. The mode selector is now more accessible and easier to toggle through. Also, other features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, eight-way adjustable electric front seats, and park assistance give the new Panamera a ‘Practical Sedan’ title, though it is a luxurious one.

In India, the Panamera is solely available with a 2.9-litre V6 petrol engine. However, the global variants are sold with more powerful V8 and hybrid models. Returning to the V6 engine, it propels 353 horsepower and 500Nm while pushing the Panamera to clock a triple-digit speed in just 5.1 seconds. The power unit here comes mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission with a top speed rated at 272 kmph.

To make it a capable driving sedan, Porsche also offers the Panamera with the brand’s Active Suspension Management as standard.

While there is no direct rival to the Porsche Panamera, it goes head-on against the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 E-Performance on the practicality front.
