Xiaomi is all set to unveil its next-generation flagship smartphone, AKA, the Xiaomi Mi 7 in just a few months. It looks like the pre-production for the same has been begun and the company has left no stones unturned. Here are the features, which are expected from the flagship smartphone from Xiaomi.

Pricing: Like always, Xiaomi will be light on this and gets it profit by selling more number of the devices rather than getting huge junk of profit from small sale numbers. So, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to be priced at $500 (₹35,000 or lesser). So, don’t go wrong by seeing the price tag, in fact, this specific smartphone will be in line with any of the Android flagship smartphones from 2018.

RAM and Processor: The Xiaomi Mi 7 will be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octa-core SoC, which will be based on the 7 nm FinFET technology. This power packed Mobile Solution will be paired with at least 6 to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM with 64 GB or 128 GB onboard flash storage based on UFS 2.1 module. Like most of the Xiaomi Mi branded smartphones, the device might not offer an external SD card slot.

Connectivity: Like always, we are expecting dual nano-SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots. Additional features like dual channel WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0 are also expected to with support for NFC for the wireless payments.

Display: For this category, the smartphone maker is expected to use an OLED panel with FHD+ resolution. For example, we can expect a similar display panel like the one seen on the OnePlus 5T. However, with respect to design, the device is likely to have some sort of bezel, but the aspect ratio will be kept at 18:9 making it in line with the other flagship smartphones, this specific display is also expected to offer HDR 10 and Dolby Vision support. Finally, the display will be protected by 2.5D Curved tempered glass from Corning Gorilla.

Design: For the design, the company likely to follow the Mi 6 design with all glass unibody design, along with the aluminum mid-frame for the extra protection. Standard features like volume and power button on the left with a USB type C port on the bottom can be expected. Just like the Mi 6, the company is expected to ditch the 3.5 mm headphone jack to attain the IP rating certification. As a matter of fact, this might be the first Xiaomi powered smartphone to use Qi-based wireless charging as well.

Camera: The camera on the Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to have the similar dual camera setup like the Xiaomi Mi 6, with improved photo and video recording capability. For the selfie camera, the device is expected to use a 16 MP selfie camera with face unlock feature just like the OnePlus 5T.

Operating system: Like all Xiaomi branded smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be powered by MiUi 9 based on Android Oreo 8.0. Features like a quick switch, multi-window, dual apps and third-party customizations can be expected.

Battery: The device is likely to use a battery, with capacity ranging from 3000 mAh 3500 mAh with fast charging and wireless charging capability. The battery is likely to last for a complete day on a single charge.
