The India team touches down the United States ahead of the T20 World Cup.
The T20 World Cup is all set to begin on June 2nd.
A total of twenty teams are going to participate in the World Cup.
The teams are further divided into groups of five and, in total, four groups.
Then the top two teams from each group will advance to the top eight.
Then the eight teams will be divided into two groups, each playing three matches.
The teams will reach the semi-finals depending on the winners of those three matches.
The final will be played on June 29th, 2024, at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.
Team India
Team India arrived in New York a few days ago to start training for the ICC Trophy.
They have started to get down to the weather and different time zones.
The players have even started to practice and get along for the World Cup.
Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Surya Kumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, and Mohammad Siraj are among the first batch.
Rinku Singh departed the next day after KKR won the IPL Trophy.
Hardik Pandya recently joined the Indian team after having a difficult patch in his personal life.
Virat Kohli has asked BCCI for some rest and will join the team directly in the group stage.
BCCI agreed to the request, as he is with his family in Mumbai.
Matches
Team India will play a warmup match against Bangladesh on June 1 before the tournament starts.
Their first match will be against Ireland on June 5th.
The match will be at the New York Nassau County International Cricket Stadium.
After that, India will play against their biggest rival, Pakistan, on June 9.
Their third match will be on June 12th against the USA.
Their last league match will be against Canada on June 15.
The match will be played at Central Broward Park and Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.
