Scuderia Ferrari’s last season was not up to the mark as the team would have expected but it’s all in the past now. The 2022 season is over and the Maranello-based team has pledged not to repeat those same mistakes again. But what should they do to put the brand’s fortune right?

Presenting the first and most significant change for Scuderia Ferrari in the form of a new Team Principal. The runner-up has appointed Fred Vasseur as its new boss who will be leading the team in the 2023 season. He is also a replacement for Mattia Binotto.

Sources suggest that the team has been looking for Binotto’s replacement since 2021. However, the 2022 season that doesn’t end well made the senior management take some serious decisions for the sake of Ferrari’s future endeavours.

Fred who has recently joined Ferrari has been working with some well-known brands including Alfa Romeo and Sauber Motorsport. In his last season, he pushed Sauber to finish sixth in the constructors’ championship and for a decade, this has been the best season for the team. Vasseur has also been a Team Principal for Renault but only for a single season.

While appointing Fred Vasseur as Team Principal, Benedetto Vigna, CEO of, Ferrari said, “We are delighted to welcome Fred Vasseur to Ferrari as our Team Principal. Throughout his career, he has successfully combined his technical strengths as a trained engineer with a consistent ability to bring out the best in his drivers and teams.

After getting appointed as Scuderia Ferrari’s Team Principal, Fred Vasseur said, “I am truly delighted and honoured to take over the leadership of Scuderia Ferrari as Team Principal.
