Afghanistan bowlers thrash New Zealand batsmen and lead them to victory.

Until now, several T20 matches have been played between AFG and NZ.

But Afghanistan has never won a single T20 match against the Black Caps.

Both teams are in the same group in the T20 World Cup.

Match Details

The 14th match of the ICC T20 World Cup was played at Providence.

The match was between Afghanistan and New Zealand, who are in Group C.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Afghanistan Innings

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran opened the innings for Afghanistan.

They both started great and were making the best use of the powerplay.

Both of them were looking strong together and forming a good partnership.

Gurbaz also completed his half-century and kept on scoring runs.

Matt Henry broke their partnership as he bowled Ibrahim.

Azmatullah Omarzai came in to bat and started to form a short partnership.

Matt, striking once again, took the wicket of Omarzai.

In the next over, Lockie Ferguson took the wicket of Mohammad Nabi.

In the last over, Trent Boult took two wickets and a runout.

Afghanistan, in the end, with the knock of 80 runs by Gurbaz made a total of 159/6.

Fazalhaq Farooqi in the first ball in the Innings bowled Finn.

Going on in his next over, he took the wicket of Devon.

And then, in his third over, he took the wicket of Daryl.

The outstanding quick breakthroughs by Fazalhaq pushed back the black caps.

Rashid Khan didn’t stay back, as he also started to take wickets at frequent intervals.

The bowlers from Afghanistan were taking frequent wickets and not letting the New Zealand batsmen settle down.

One by one, they took all the New Zealand batsmen’s wickets and outed them to a score of 75 runs.

Fazalhaq Farooqi and Rashid Khan took four wickets each, and Mohammad Nabi took two wickets.
