Tinder’s interactive in-app event “Swipe Night” was launched in US last year and there were plans to launch it in India this year by the month of March but it was delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Now the event is finally launched in India and users would be able to take part in it from 12th September.

Swipe Night is a story-based event of Tinder where users need to choose between two options and on that basis, the story will go forward. Its almost same to the Episodes and Choice games but it is shot like a movie on Tinder. The users would get to match with the people who have selected answers on the basis of the choice of the user. The plot of “Swipe Night” has an end of the world theme. The users of Tinder are the protagonists. It starts with the users going for a party with friends and later they get to know that an asteroid is about to hit the Earth. Users will get only a few seconds to choose their decision. Tinder has brought Drake’s go-to music video director Karena Evans for the production of Swipe Night and its written by Brandon Zuck and Nicole Delaney.

Tinder has stated that they received a positive feedback when the Swipe Night event was first released at US. Tinder users made millions of choices with more matches getting unlocked and starting to get involved in more conversations. There was an increase of 26% in matches and 12% in messages. The content of Swipe Night is particularly targeting people of 18-24 age group and the end of the world plot was made on the basis of a something that Tinder users talk about a lot and that is if they have one hour, how they would spend it. Tinder said that having a high makes story feels like a strong forcing mechanism to make the choices and decisions count.

Swipe Night has three episodes this time and they were filmed in 2019. Tinder has promised to bring more content in the upcoming few months. The episodes of Swipe Night will debut on 12th September at 10 AM and will be available till Sunday midnight. The second and third episodes would air on 19th and 26th September.
