The official statement read-

“Congress president Sonia Gandhi would hoist the flag of INC at AICC headquarters in New Delhi while all senior state leaders and heads of frontal organizations will participate in the march at state capitals, which would be organized under the aegis of respective Pradesh Congress Committees (PCCs). Divisive policies of the BJP government like the Citizenship Amendment Act and brutal police crackdown on protesting students and citizens will also be taken up, which are aimed at diverting the people’s attention from the burning issues affecting the common masses.”

It was informed that the decision was taken on December 16 in a meeting of the party’s in-charges. The coming march is based on the success garnered by the previous ‘Bharat Bachao” rally held by the party. Bharat Bachao rally was organized in the national capital on December 14.
