IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore have been included in the list of top 200 universities globally. In the QS world rankings, released on Thursday, IIT-Bombay has entered for the first time, whereas, IIT Delhi and IISc Bangalore have been a part of the list since last 2 years.
IIT-Bombay was placed at 219th position last year. In the current list, it made significant improvement in all the four considered parameters. The top ranked national institute moved 40 positions up to 179th position. IIT Delhi was at 172nd position, whereas, IISc Bangalore got 190th slot in the list.
Among the Indian universities, only Delhi university has made it to the top 500 universities. Mumbai and Pune universities are the next best ranked institutions, however, they do not feature in top 800.
