With Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar finally officially announcing the patch up JD(U) with NDA, the already foreseen split in the party will gain speed now.

Nitish Kumar on Saturday in the national executive meeting organised in Patna officially announced that after a separation for almost 4 years, JD(U) is again joining NDA. Following the announcement of Nitish, the Sharad Yadav led faction has decided to go for a split in the party. In an attempt to make the people believe that the real JD(U) is with Sharad and not with Nitish, Sharad is planning to knock on the doors of the election commission hoping to stake the claim on the symbol of JD(U).

Senior JD-U leader Arun Srivastav, who is considered close to Sharad Yadav, said that it is Sharad who had formed the party and not Nitish. He added that “The real JD-U belongs to Sharad Yadav and party units in different states across India are with him.”

Former JD-U minister Ramai Ram informed that the Sharad Yadav-led JD-U is holding its Jan Adalat meeting at S.K. Memorial near historic Gandhi Maidan, a common man’s locality here and said that the meeting was open for all. Sharad is also likely to announce his decision of attending the mega rally scheduled to be organised on 27 Aug by RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav.

According to the sources, JD(U) led by Nitish Kumar has repeatedly indicated that strict action will be taken against Sharad if he attends the mega rally on 27 Aug.
