The Congress newly inducted General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi in a run-up to the mega polls 2019 will be party’s star campaigner not only in Uttar Pradesh but also in the Other States.

Congress party has tasked the new Gandhi to reach out to voters and has been inducted in the list of party’s top 5 Star Campaigners out of the total 40 names submitted to poll body.

Congress newly appointed GS for UP East had in past has restricted herself to UP especially to the party’s stronghold – Amethi and Rae Bareli.

However, in a run-up to the national elections 2019, the new entrant is already gearing for the mega battle and has already addressed her first rally in Gujarat on March 12.

She is slated to address many public meetings, rallies in Maharashtra, and Other States. The party in the list included its President Rahul GandhiSonia GandhiManmohan Singh, at top with other names of Ashok ChavanJyotiraditya ScindiaGhulab Nabi Azad, Mohammad Azharuddin, Imran Pratapgadi, Navjot Singh among others.

Former BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha who is set to join Congress will be a star face for the party.

Other parties have also started rolling out the list if its star campaigners, Ruling Bhartiya Janta Party in its list of Star Campaigners featured PM Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah, Union Ministers Rajnath SinghNitin GadkariSushma SwarajUma Bharti, Arun JaitleyNirmala SitharamanSmriti Irani, UP CM Yogi Adityanath among others.

Delhi ruling party AAP has named Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Gopal Rai, Bhagwant Mann, Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Singh, Dr. Sushil Gupta, ND Gupta, and Lawmakers Satyendra Jain, Imran Hussain, among Others.

Sharad Pawar-led NCP has also declared candidates on 17 Lok Sabha seats out of 20 allotted to them in a poll pact. NCP has fielded Parth Ajit Pawar from its traditional seat of Maval Lok Sabha seat, Supriya Sule from Baramati Parliamentary Seat.

Lok Sabha Polls are slated to begin from April 11 and would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19.

Counting of Votes and Results for the mega Battle of ballots will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting.
