A huge number of party workers waved off BJP flags and raised slogans in favor of the saffron party. Party leaders such as Locket Chatterjee and Roopa Ganguly were also present at the march. JP Nadda is also set to address a public rally at Shyambazar. As quoted by ANI, Roopa Ganguly said, “We are leading the march peacefully. People have been misled. In West Bengal, the Chief Minister herself is troubling the people. You are telling lies to the people and troubling them.”
Previously, JP Nadda had also attacked the opposition members over the spreading of misinformation over the CAA issue.

On the related note, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot slammed PM Modi for his CAA speech at Ramlila Maidan and said that either the BJP leader is contradicting the statement of Amit Shah or he is not aware of the NRC.
While BJP is carrying its rally in Kolkata, the DMK party has also organized a march on the streets in Chennai on Monday. Party leader MK Stalin led the protest with many opposition leaders such as P Chidambaram.
