This Diwali is going to be a special one. Amidst the pandemic, people will look forward to celebrating, as the unlock phase extends in the country. Giving them another reason to celebrate the festival, is director, Abhishek Sharma. His film is releasing on 13th November, the occasion of the festival.

The quirky comedy, titled, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, stars Diljit Dosanjh, Manoj Bajpayee, and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead. While announcing the film’s release, the makers released a poster.

A press release for the film described it as :

“An unlikely comedy about a wedding detective on the hunt soon turns into a hilarious chase game between Manoj and Diljit, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is expected to be “a slice of the ’90s served with a love story that will warm the cockles of your heart.”

Director Abhishek Sharma’s last film was the satirical comedy, Tere Bin Laden. Like it, he has again used the wordplay technique for the title of his next film. Speaking about this, he said,

“It points towards the rashi (zodiac sign), kundali (horoscope), that we talk about more during wedding. At the same time, it is about the cat and mouse between Suraj, which is played by Diljit and Mangal, essayed by Manoj sir.”

Apart from the superb leading cast, the film also contains a supporting cast of multi-faceted and brilliant actors. This includes Annu Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, Seema Pahwa, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Nehha Pendse, Manuj Sharma, Neeraj Sood, Abhishek Banerjee, Vijay Raaz, Karishma Tanna, and Vanshikha Sharma.

It will be among the slew of films, which are going to release in theatres once they reopen on October 15. Cinema halls will operate with 50% seating capacity and one-seat distance.
