Farhan Akhtar made his Bollywood debut with the movie ‘Rock On’ in 2008, not many people would know that his debut was supposed to happen with a film called ‘The Fakir Of Venice.’ The film was supposed to release back in 2008 but got stuck for some reason. This film was shot way before Akhtar’s debut film. However, after a long wait, the film is finally releasing in theaters shortly.
Farhan Akhtar will be seen sharing screen space with veteran actor Annu Kapoor. Where Farhan Akhtar is playing the role of a production executive who accepts the impossible task of finding a saint who lives in the sand with only his hand visible outside. In the quest of finding one, he bumps into Annu’s character, shortly after which the duo set off on a journey to Venice.
Farhan Akhtar might be lending his voice to a song in ‘The Fakir of Venice’, the film which was initially meant to be his acting debut. The producer of the film Punit Desai has revealed in the report that they are currently making the song and are trying to get Farhan to sing it. Although there is no confirmation, the possibility of Farhan lending his voice to his first film as an actor can’t be ruled out. Composer A.R. Rahman has given the music for the film.
The film has been written by filmmaker Homi Adajania and is based on some real life experiences that he had a few years ago while travelling.
