Haryana declares class 10 results, state records highest score of 499/500

Haryana School Education Board (HBSE) announced the results of class 10 board examinations. Highest mark 499/500 has been secured by Manisha Kumar and other top spots were bagged by the state girls. The second rank was secured by Monika from Chamarkheda and third rank again by a girl Amandeep Kaur.

Highest score in Commerce stream was 498 marks, which was secured by two students, Pushpa and Sanyam. Bhavna Yadav topped with 496 marks in Science while Manisha belonged to Arts stream. This year girls scored 11.24% higher pass percentage than boys. The girls stood at pass percentage of 86.30 while the boys made up to 75.06%

The state however recorded a pass percentage of 80.34% in the regular mode and 64.83% in private mode. There has been a considerable rise from the previous year which recorded a pass percentage of 74.4%.

Here are some general facts we can look upon:

2,12,693 students appeared for class 12 board examination. Out of which, 70 have cleared the exam and 32,361 candidates will have to appear for compartmental exams. The improvement exams are scheduled for those students who have failed in one or 2 subjects. Students who have failed in more than 3 subjects, is considered to as fail and should appear next year.
