Earthquake in Delhi

An earthquake of 5.4 magnitudes measuring on the Richter scale has struck off Japan’s Miyazaki Prefecture on Monday, which is located on the southeastern coast of Kyushu Island.

According to ANI news reports, the quake has occurred near at 9:11 am. The epicentre was formed in Hyuga-nada Sea, a part of the Pacific Ocean which lies on the eastern shore of Kyushu Island.

According to Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), no tsunami warnings has been issued, and also, there were no immediate reports of damage to property and casualties as the result of the earthquake, as reported by Xinhua News Agency.

Officials said the Japanese nuclear plants which were located in the earthquake affected region have not yet reported any abnormalities.

In 2011, Japan was hit with a quake of 9.0 magnitude triggering a very powerful tsunami in the country that has caused damage to properties.
