With the increase of progressive tech culture that is a part of the everyday household, users can access various knowledge related contents in just moments. However, the internet does not only contains knowledge related contents only. There are various stuff available on the internet that parents may not want their kids to know about it. Now, keeping this in mind Microsoft is providing some new tools to parents to control their kids. These new features are an expansion of its family group features on Android. With these new updates, users will be able to access family controls in the Launcher app and Edge browser app.

The new feature adding to Microsoft Launcher and Edge Browser app:

Microsoft is adding a new feature to the Launcher app that will allow parents to track their kids. Now in the updated version of the Launcher app, parents can add their kids to the family group. It will also allow parents to track the amount of time their kid is spending on a particular app. The data about their kids will appear in the feed section of the Launcher app. The user can also turn off this new feature whenever they want.

Moreover, a new update for Edge Browser will now allow parents to block websites on their kid’s Edge browser app. This new setting will extend the entire list of blocked websites from the PC to user’s Android device as well. If the user’s child tries to visit a blocked website, the Edge browser app will ask them for permission before loading the website.

In order to use these family features in these apps, the user will have to set up a family group account. These family group settings will also apply to Windows and Xbox also apart from Android devices.
