Planning to enter two more cities other than the three in which it operates presently, WhistleDrive, an employee transportation company, has bagged ₹72 crore in Series B round from Colosseum Group, reported by Mint.

Rakesh Munnanooru, founder and chief executive officer (CEO), WhistleDrive, said that the company currently operates a 700-plus fleet across Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru. “We are looking to enter Pune by coming January and February. With the series-B funding we just got, we are looking at scaling vertically, and plan to enter the National Capital Region (NCR),” he added.

WhistleDrive was started by Rakesh Munnanooru in 2016. The B2B platform provides technology-enabled fleet services for corporates, and is, presently, looking to enter two more cities other than the three in which it operates presently.

The tech-platform, Whistle Tech, developed by the company, allows corporates to automate the entire transportation process resulting in cost savings and also an improvement via a reliable, comfortable and secure ride to work, stated a press release.

Munnannoru added that Whistledrive currently operates around one lakh trips a month, and that the target is to reach one million in the next six months.

Currently, WhistleDrive offers office commute services to several companies, including ADP LLC, Invesco and Hitachi Consulting.
